Personal profile

I have a degree from the University of British Columbia in Pure mathematics, and a two-year diploma in Recording Arts. I currently work for the University of Calgary, leading the implementation of an open-source Learning Management System for UCalgary's Post Graduate School of Medicine.

Interests and hobbies include:

• pencils in need of sharpening

• birdwatching or, when that fails, watching birdwatchers watch birds

• cleaning, tidying, baking bread

• compiling lists (apparently)

• field recordings of frogs and birds

• gunmetal-grey mid-century office-organizers

• unnecessary hyphen-usage (apparently)

• the word "apparently" in brackets (apparently)

• the occasional em dash

• people who secretly tidy up public spaces

• whiskers on roses, raindrops on kittens

• warm woollen kettles, bright copper mittens

• grapefruit: yum.
