Erick Rono was born on 14th October 1982 in Sego, Keiyo, Kenya. He is a second born in a family of 7 children He attended Muskut Primary school from class 1 to standard 7. Later he attended Tuiyo-luk Primary school in Uasin Gishu county for class 8. He pursued his secondary education at Kipkabus Secondary school.Between year 2000 and 2001, he joined stratthmore university where he did Certified Public Accountant's course.

After college, he joined Equator Flowers Kenya Limited in the outskirts of Eldoret town as a trainee in accounts office. He later joined Maji Mazuri Flowers in Moisbridge as an assistant accountant. In December 2007, Erick Rono was promoted to Unit Accountant position; a position he held until November 2010 when he was transferred to Agriflora Kenya Limited in the same capacity. Erick Rono is currently the Chief Accountant of Agriflora Kenya Limited based in the ouskirts of Nakuru Town, Kenya.

In September 2011, Erick Rono enrolled for a Barchelors degree in commerce in Kabarak University and graduated with a second class hons upper division

Erick Rono is happily married to Vallary Mutiembu and is blessed with four children;Peace Jelagat, Alexis Jemutai,Ray Kiptoo and Ella Jebet
