Eric Toal, (Born August 10th, 1986) a native-born Pittsburgh(er) with a diverse family background. Eric’s background consists of Irish, Polish, Slovak, and German. Eric grew up in a small borough call Brentwood, and was a very unique individual. He lived with his immediate family in a house in Brentwood. Family: Mother-Colleen Toal, Father-James Toal, Sisters- Rachel and Melissa Toal (Married Name-Waldron). As a child Eric spent most of his time with his family at his grandmothers house (Grandmother-Dolores. Eric loved to ride bikes and play games with his neighborhood friends. At a young age Eric showed interest in acting, with an unusual imagination and the ability to act as multiple characters at the same time. When Eric was old enough, his parents took him to a local outdoor park theatre, where he participated in children’s plays. This sparked his interest greatly and in 6th grade, Eric auditioned for his first high school musical "How to Succeed in Business without really trying." This was huge for Eric since he was only in 6th grade, and participating in a high school musical. In the following years he auditioned and performed in "The Boyfriend", "1940's Radio hour", "1776", "Smile", and the play "Legend of Sleepy Hollow". During his senior year, Eric realized he liked performing, but acting was not his true passion. As a last minute decision, Eric was asked to be a part of the Brentwood High School dance team. Eric was overjoyed by the chance to be part of a real dance team and took to the studio to learn to dance. Eric had never had any formal training, but grew up in a family of dancers. Dancing was nothing new in his life, but competing in dance was a new opportunity. After a year of competing, Eric went to New Jersey for the TOB dance competition, and his team came in 2nd place. After graduation, Eric decided he wanted to do everything he could to make a great and successful career. He is currently attending Community College of Allegheny County, and is a Marketing and Promotions intern for Torque Denim (Designer denim boutique). More to come!
