Eltonnick Nicky Elton Zama Masheke aka Eltonnick was born in April 1989 under the sign of the Taurus. Eltonnick began his career in 2005 in Kempton Park, Gauteng. His musical culture at this time included a wide range of styles of Hip-hop and more specifically House music. He built himself a strong reputation as a Dj, and more precisely for his capacity to dig out hot and exclusive tracks. In 2006 he became resident Dj of Innocent Pub, in Kempton Park. That’s how Eltonnick got the opportunity to meet Baainar Records CEO, Lunga Nombewu. He has played along side, Oskido, Bobsta, Mo Flava, Nick Holder, Trinididan Deep, Lunga The Sid and Black Coffee to mention but a few.

Eltonnick is undoubtedly one of the rising stars of the South African House community. In 2008, he was signed under Baainar records as a producer. On the 27th of April 2009, his first single “Salt and Water” was released under his mother-label Baainar Records, The Baainar Sampler Ep was released digitally only. Other releases that were released digitally were (Baainar Theme remixes, Simple Twist, Animals of the Zodiac, Sed). “Baainar Theme” is one of the biggest songs that Eltonnick has remixed so far, supported by local and international Djs like Dj Fresh and Rocco, it was released under Soul Candi records on Dj Miggs “Chronicles of Deep House 3”, “For the dj’s 14”, Euphonik presents Phuture Djs, Mzantsi Fo Sho 4 CD etc. He also produced a track for Phumeza “Intombi yakwaXhosa”. Eltonnick has been doing remixes for artists like, Oskido (I believe),Dj Fresh (Goddess), Smallz (Zulu), Theo Kgosinkwe (Step in my world and Beautiful People). He is currently working on his debut CD, due to be released in September.
