Hi, I'm Rajendra Kumar D.V., wherein D stands for my family name Deshpande and V stands for my father's name Venkatrao.


Family Background

Ours is a Madhwa Brahmin family. My parents are from North Karnataka and my date of birth is 28-Oct-1965. My father worked as a scientific officer with Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore till 1990; he expired on 13-Apr-1994. My mother, Leelabai is now 71 years old and lives with me. I have a big brother Sudhindra aged 51 years, who is a senior SAP consultant in Bangalore; two elder sisters; Shailaja aged 49 years and Vidya aged 47 years. All are living in Bangalore. I am a Chartered Accountant practising the profession of Accountancy in Bangalore for the past 15 years. My wife Jyotsna is an Entrepreneur, offering Accounting Services. I have two kids; Shishir is the elder one (13 years) and Pushkar is the younger one (7 years). Both attend school at Sree Vani Education Centre at Basaveshwaranagar, Bangalore. We are not athiests.


Interests

I like reading novels. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Dan Brown are my favourite authors in English and Gorur Ramaswamy Iyengar, S.L.Bhairappa, M.K.Indira in Kannada. I am proud of my culture and I love my language, Kannada. I dabble in computers, sports, singing, music etc.

Best liked persons

Swami Vivekananda who advised "Attachment with detachment". Shree Raghavendra Swamy of Mantralaya, who has been my guiding spirit and sole source of comfort in all times throughout my life. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel the Iron Man of India and Babu Rajendra Prasad, the first and the only real President of India.
