Moreland is an unbounded locality in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, about 7 km north of Melbourne's central business district. It is situated within the City of Moreland, and is contained within the suburbs of Brunswick and Coburg. Moreland Road runs down the centre of the locality.

History
In 1839, Farquhar McCrae purchased 600 acres of land west of Sydney Road. He named his holding 'Moreland' after his grandfather's estate in Jamaica. http://www.wikinorthia.net.au/index.php/City_of_Moreland
