Hi all,

Former French Navy pilot (called a "top-gun" in the US Navy), computing always was a passion.

After a short military carrier, I used to work at Olivetti, then GSI and SG2 prior to create my own software company in the early 80ies to develop the first French Word Processor (Turbo-Text) as well as one of the (if not the) first computer remote control software (MS-COM) running both on CP/M and DOS.

Then, in the late 80ies, my company (ISS) provided the first ever graphical cross platform help desk and remote control system (Remote Services Management) available for DOS, Windows 3.x, 9.x and NT as well as all OS/2 versions (from OS/2 PM 1.1 up to Warp 4.5) that was sold over 6 million licenses to most of the top 500th fortunes corporations worldwide (banks, insurances, car and plane manufacturers, airlines and railroad companies, phone operators and so on).

Semi retired from the software industry since 2000 after the sale of my group to a large NASDAC corporation, I still help start-up ventures, writing user manuals for new amazing products, just for the fun to keep an open eye on new computing technologies.

I'm also contributing to several fora (French and English) specialized on different Linux distributions as well as to European publications not bloated by lying advertising of leaders publishing nothing but hype about the purported performance of their products (usually, no fair and independent comparative benchmarks are ever provided).

With over 35 years of successful experience in the software microcosm partnering with prestigious companies such as Borland, Compuware, HP, IBM, ICL, Intel and even Microsoft, I'll try to contribute to Wikipedia on technical subjects taking really care of the "green computing" when using efficient programming models such as parallelism to optimize the use of modern CPU's architectures that will drastically save electricity power consumption, then battling against the production of green house gaz.

One of my current "heroes" is Sir Richard Branson (Virgin) for his fight against the climate changes.
