Located 100 km to the north of Thiruvananthapuram, Thevalakkara is the main centre of cashew trading and processing industry. Thirty per cent of this historic town is covered by the renowned Ashtamudi Lake, making it the gateway to the magnificent backwaters of Kerala. The Thevalakkara also has some interesting historic remnants and a number of temples & Churches built in the traditional ornate architectural style. THEVALAKARA-deva loka kara..means god's own village.Which is situated in north west part of kollam in between karunagappally and sasthamkottah. one side is covered by Ashtamudilake........an embodiment of hindu muslim & christian culture.panmana,mynagapply,vadakkuthala,thekkumbhagam are our neighboring villages .....
