Distortion means one type of heavy sound,they play distortion which is smoothly acceptable to everyone & people can get both hard n smooth satisfaction from their song,that is why they named them Smooth Distortion. In the year 2012 S.D was formed by Dev with four other musicians.Smooth Distortion is a bengali band from kolkata.The band is composed of Dev (Lead vocal,Lyricist,Composer,Guitarist).After few changing in their line-up Avi (Bass Guitarist), (Guitarist),Srinjoy (Drums),Ansh (percussion) joined the band & this is the current line-up of S.D. Their music is a combination of soft melody & hard approach,They use Heavy/Thrash Metal & Alternative sound with aggressive & soft vocal in their songs.Every players played in various cultural events.The song "Ajo Khoje Mon' portrays the beautiful memory of love & the song "Noshto" portrays the real dark side of our society and how everyone is hiding their faces from every wrong activities by saying 'Noshto Hole Hok'.They gained popularity among the young generation after releasing their track "Noshto".They performed in Radio Mirchi,World Music Day & various concerts all over the West-Bengal. Smooth Distortion is the first Thrash Metal band in Kolkata.
