DEAN LYDIATE has been a BBC ANNOUNCER since 1999. His career began in BBC Local Radio at BBC RADIO DEVON in 1988, after which his work continued as a Radio Presenter and Producer at GEMINI RADIO and WESTWARD RADIO in 1995. In 1999 he became BBC ANNOUNCER for BBC TELEVISION at the BBC Television Centre in London. During which time he's worked for BBC1, BBC2, CBBC, BBC CHOICE, BBC3 & BBC4 and BBC WORLD, and as a transmission manager for the BBC Television Networks. Since 2002 he's been the voice of BBC PRIME (BBC WORLDWIDE'S International Channel's including BBC PRIME (EUROPE) / BBC PRIME (AFRICA) and BBC PRIME (ASIA) and BBC JAPAN. He's has also voiced the BAFTA tribute to Michael Parkinson and has contributed to high profile voice-over work in the UK and worldwide.
