Lock N Load[1] are an English four-piece rock band formed in 2015 from Newcastle upon Tyne/Sunderland. The band have a solid live reputation having played around the country, including the O2 Academy Newcastle headlining the popular Burning Rock Festval [2] and Spennymoor Town Council's Party In The Park[3] festival. The band are heavily influenced by AC/DC, Gary Moore, Whitesnake.

Career

Formed in late 2015 by current members Dave Scott and Chris McDonald, the band consisted of a completely different lineup including Dave as the bands drummer and hit the music scene by storm with their high energy performances.

In late November 2016 huge changes occurred as singer Georgia, guitarist Lisa and bassist Harry all departed the band to focus on other commitment. Remaining members Dave and Chris made the bands current biggest decision to push Dave himself forward as the bands new frontman/lead singer after positive feedback received from gigs on his vocals and quickly recruited his father and former original Toy Dolls drummer Colin Scott as their new drummer. Soon after they recruited a new bassist to replace Harry.

Less than 2 months later, with the new lineup, new set-list, brand new equipment, Lock N Load returned to continue doing what they loved most....playing music and entertaining.

A few months past and further changes were required with bassist Neil departing the band replaced by Mel "The Rev" joining the band to join once again alongside Colin who he played with in previous bands. The Rev quickly proved the right appointment with a brilliant first gig as the band were hired for a wedding. This was short lived and in November 2018 the band finally got their man with hugely experienced Gaz Tone joining the band as their new bassist.

Lock N Load mix a great blend of strong vocals and harmonies along with great guitar solos with a powerful bass and drum rhythm section to get everyone they perform to rocking to great music such as AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Journey, Bon Jovi, Mr Big, Whitesnake, Foreigner and many more.[4]


Lock N Load have since rose in stature performing at many festivals including headlining the Burning Rock Festival [2]
