Darrell Malcolm Smith (born October 5, 1966) is a Canadian certified financial planner for Investors Group in Belleville, Ontario. He is now a Division Director for the Belleville/Cobourg region and has been with the company since 1991. He attended Quinte Secondary School in Belleville, Ontario and graduated in 1985 then proceeded to Brock University to study business. Smith graduated from Brock University in 1989 with honours.


Early Life

Darrell Malcolm Smith was born in Belleville, Ontario, and grew up in this hometown. His mother Jean Smith (neé Irwin) who passed away in 1989, and his father Ronald Smith who passed away in 1983. He has two younger sisters April and Crystal and a younger brother Cory. He is of British and Scottish descent.


Personal Life

Darrell met his wife Carmen Smith (neé Dejo Alencar) in 1997 and the two married June 23, 2001. Carmen is from Lima, Peru but is of Chinese and Brazilian descent. Darrell has a step-daughter Marianne Ferreras Dejo also born in Lima, Peru from Carmen's previous marriage. Darrell and his wife have one child together, Ryan Smith. They lived in Belleville, Ontario from 2001-2011 and now reside in Quinte West, Ontario.
