Park Chae-won was born on November 19, 2000 in South Korea. She was born to one elder brother and one younger sister. She became interested in becoming an idol after attending Oh My Girl's "Summer Fairy Tale" concert. She then joined LP Dance & Vocal Academy, where she spent her time as a trainee.

Career

2018-Present: From Solo Activities, to Loona's Debut

In January 2018, Go Won was revealed to be the next member of Loona.[1] Her solo album titled, Go Won, was released digitally on January 30 and physically on January 31, 2018. The album contains the lead single, "One & Only", and the b-side "Seesaw", featuring members Chuu and Kim Lip.[2] It peaked number 14 on the South Korean Gaon Albums Chart.[3]


On April 27, a teaser was released titled "youth youth by young" that introduces that their sub-unit name is "yyxy" and the members as well. On May 19, a teaser photo was released revealing the title track "love4Eva" and that it would be featuring Grimes. This sub-unit consists of members Yves, Chuu, and Olivia Hye. Loona Yyxy released their title track along with their EP "Beauty & the Beat" on May 30, 2018.


In August of 2018, Go Won officially debuted in Loona as a whole group with their title song, "Hi High" off of their extended play album [+ +].
