About Me
Hello! I'm Cynthia Schomp, CEO of Schomp.ai, a company that places fractional CTOs inside businesses to build artificial intelligence-driven systems from the ground up — not layered on top of existing infrastructure, but built as the operational foundation. Schomp.ai clients get a CTO embedded in their business to design, implement, and train their team on AI-native systems. In addition to leading Schomp.ai, I serve as a fractional CTO for a portfolio of agencies and businesses including Stxrdust, THM2G, This Agency Rocks, and Web Presence Boss.
Early Career — Web Development
I began working as a web development consultant in 2002, building websites for clients while still in secondary school — graduating high school in 2004. After graduation I continued in an agency capacity, growing a client base that included businesses in New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami. That early experience running client work independently, across major markets, before the era of social media or modern web frameworks, gave me a commercial and technical foundation I've carried through every role since.
I completed a degree in visual communication in 2007. In 2008 I enlisted in the United States Air Force, scaling back client work to focus on service and education.
Military Service
I served in the United States Air Force from 2008 to 2012, stationed at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico as part of the 16th Air Maintenance Unit. I was a jet engine mechanic on the AC-130H Gunship, one of the most operationally intensive aircraft in the U.S. special operations inventory. During my enlistment I also earned an associate degree in aeronautical propulsion engineering through the Community College of the Air Force — the science of the systems I was working on every day. That combination of hands-on mechanical responsibility and formal engineering education gave me a technical depth that has informed my approach to complex systems ever since.
Post-Military Career
After leaving the Air Force, I transitioned back into technology as a civilian, serving as a DMLS database specialist at Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson in Colorado.
From there I moved into defense contracting, joining Lockheed Martin at Schriever Air Force Base supporting the 2nd Space Operations Squadron (2SOPS) at United States Space Command — the unit responsible for operating the GPS satellite system used worldwide. In that role I worked as a system administrator across Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows, and Windows Server, with responsibilities spanning classified systems and cybersecurity at the operational level.
I hold a degree in cybersecurity.
Technology and Healthcare
My technical career expanded into healthcare and dental practice infrastructure. I have deep hands-on experience in system administration, data analytics, and HIPAA-compliant solution architecture. I have designed and implemented system architecture, security frameworks, and compliance infrastructure for medical and dental practices — working directly with physicians and dental offices.
Authorship
I am a published author focused on productivity, accountability, and the practical application of technology in everyday business life. My first book, Workday Your Way To Success: The Daily Focus & Accountability System, is a structured guide to building personal accountability systems that produce consistent results — written for entrepreneurs and professionals who need real frameworks, not motivation. It is available on Amazon.
I have additional titles in development for publication in 2026, continuing a body of work aimed at making high-performance systems accessible to everyday business owners.
AI Education and Business Innovation
Through cynthiaschomp.com and Schomp.ai, I am building what I consider to be the most important work of my career: closing the gap between artificial intelligence and the business owners who need it most. My approach is grounded in the belief that AI should not be the exclusive domain of engineers and venture-backed startups. Every business — regardless of size, budget, or technical sophistication — deserves access to the operational advantages that AI-native systems provide.
I translate two decades of systems experience — from jet engine maintenance to GPS satellite operations to HIPAA-compliant healthcare infrastructure — into AI education and implementation strategies that non-technical founders can actually use. My community at cynthiaschomp.com is where entrepreneurs learn to work with AI on their own terms.
