The name Lance is believed to have been acquired as a middle name by Carl Chapman-Helmy following one of his childhood idols Lance Mountain. A lot of rumors circulate as to where and why exactly the name Chapman was added to Carl Helmy. However, it is strongly suggested it came after Carl had to deal with mispronunciation with his name. An undisclosed source claims it was taken after Carl entered and won a internet baseball pool under the name of Carl Chapman. At the age of 10, Carl Chapman-Helmy was casted in the film Jack Kerouac (A very well known french author). Chapman-Helmy was a Moncton resident from age one to his early 30s. He strongly considers Moncton as his hometown.
