Mark Panick (Musician/Artist)

Mark Panick, Chicago based singer-songwriter-guitarist, founded the postpunk band The Bonemen of Barumba in 1981 in an alley in New Orleans. The self titled first Bonemen of Barumba E.P. release received BBC air play on Jon Peel's show, and garnered attention from Steve Albini, earned them inclusion on the SubPop #7 compilation, and then they were signed to Fever/Enigma Records where they released two more records. The 2nd E.P. for Fever/Enigma was titled Driving the bats thru Jerusalem and was engineered and co produced by the late Iain Burgess. The last release was an L.P. titled Icons and signaled Mark Panicks departure from the band.

Mark Panick's next band was Chac Mool, signed to Slash Records. The executive Producer Video Director for the Bonemen of Barumba David Anderson formed the idea of Chac Mool around the writing talents of Mark Panick and Dean Anderson. Chac Mool was part of the early industrial scene in Chicago. Later Panick formed Razorhouse with members of Revolting Cocks, KMFDM, and Sister Machine Gun. Panick also worked in the studio on recordings with Al Jourgensen and Revolting Cocks.

In 2011 Mark Panick reformed Razorhouse, drawing in players Hunt Sales (Iggy Pop, Tin Machine) and Mike Scaccia (Ministry, Rigor Mortis). He is currently in the studio with producers Chris Steinmetz and D Mac at Stonecutter Studios, Hinge Studio and Chicago Recording Company, and working with remix artist Lee Popa ( White Zombie, Bad Brains, Ministry, Killing Joke, Tool, Korn, Prong) at Swinghouse in Hollywood. Mark is also collaborating and recording with producer Doug McBride (Veruca Salt, Smashing Pumpkins, Atari Teenage Riot,The Walkmen, Rachel Yamagata) at Gravity Studios. Panick will be releasing his new Razorhouse material on Heatshield Records in 2012.
