Bill Lutz (born February 12, 1932) was an American television writer. His credits include the entire first season of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You, The Lucy Show, The Adams Family, and Queen For A Day. He served as an air veteran in WWII.

Early Life

Bill Lutz was born in Kansas, 1921 to Mr. and Mrs. William O Lutz Sr, along with siblings Jerry and Mary Lutz. He was an alumnus at the Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas.

Career

Bill Lutz began his career as a young writer at NBC in the Rockefeller Center in Brooklyn, New York, writing many "Family Theater" Radio shows, before migrating to Los Angeles in the footsteps of the burgeoning entertainment industry, gaining work at Hanna Barbera, writing extensively for Scooby-Doo, Where Are You, (writing the entire first season) as well as many other shows for the next 25 years. He worked in Hanna Barbera from 1964-1973[2] up until his death, including the entire first season of Scooby-Doo. [3]
