Christopher Jenner:

British designer Christopher Jenner’s work is an elemental narrative of form and material rooted in craft.

Having travelled the world extensively after graduation from the Johannesburg School of Art and the Boston School of Design in Cape Town, he settled in London, establishing his studio in 2010 to explore the relationship between storytelling and design.

Working globally he implements a design process called ‘fractal analysis’. This strategic technique of discovery deconstructs a task into multiple facets representing the inherent values (heritage, product, personality) of a project. He re-assembles these facets into magical solutions, similar in nature to pointillism where the eye creates a story from the kaleidoscopic application of colour and texture.

Evident in the immense detail of his work is a passion for artisanal skill; it lends a tangible, emotive quality and creative refinement. Christopher fervently believes brands need to passionately engage creativity and craft when communicating the stories which lie at the heart of their attraction.

To date the studio realises the challenges of their work directly, commissioning and implementing projects around the globe from a pool of sensational talent to guarantee an enduring finish and unique experience.

In 2012 Christopher presented his first studio story with the acclaimed installation ‘The Looking Glass House’ and the toy-like collection Swell at the Salone del Mobile, Milano. This was closely followed by the launch of two ‘home editions’ in 2012 - 2013 both of which are available to purchase from the studio’s on-line store.

Christopher was awarded British breakthrough talent for 2012 by FX magazine. His work is featured regularly in the global press and referred to by the world’s leading trend forecasters. His commercial projects generate valuable global exposure and recognition for his clients.
