Charles T. Dillon (born July 14, 1970) is the owner of the Law Office of Charles T. Dillon, a Maryland-based law firm representing clients in tax, business, and international matters. Mr. Dillon is also the Executive Producer of the documentary Montenegro: Jewel of the Adriatic. Mr. Dillon also assists clients in long-term tax planning and representation before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities, such as the Maryland Department of Assessment and Taxation.
Mr. Dillon's experience also includes government-to-government, business-to-government, and business-to-business relations in Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans, and is recognized as being one of the foremost United States private attorneys with substantive experience in Montenegro (the heart of Southeastern Europe). He is the founding director and president of the U.S. – Montenegro Business Council, a nonprofit trade association aimed at promoting trade and investment opportunities between the United States and the Western Balkans. Mr. Dillon also negotiated with the State of Maryland and Podgorica, Montenegro the establishment of a foreign trade office for the State of Maryland in the Western Balkans (headquartered in Podgorica). As a direct result of these efforts the State of Maryland is the first state in the United States to have a physical presence in the Western Balkans.
Mr. Dillon’s previous legal experience includes working as a law partner with one of Maryland’s largest private law firms, where he managed the Tax Services Department. Mr. Dillon also worked with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (Enforcement Division and Market Regulations), the U.S. Department of Justice (Civil Tax Division), the Internal Revenue Service, Chief Counsel’s Office (Corporate), and the U.S. Tax Court.
Mr. Dillon is also a decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy.
