Hello

My name is Calvin Spotted Elk. I am from Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. I am currently in California working on my family history which has been documented many times by many people, but not always factually.

I am the last known direct lineal descendant of Chief Spotted Elk who was killed along with his people at Wounded Knee in 1890.

As I said, I see a lot of factual errors written here and other places on the internet and I am trying to correct them and tell my family story, which has yet to have been told.

I am currently working on a book and a documentary and will post this when available. In the meantime, I would just like to correct what I am able to correct regarding Wounded Knee and my grandfathers: Chief Black Buffalo > Chief One Horn > Chief Lone Horn (through adoption) > Chief Spotted Elk (a.k.a. as Bigfoot unfortunately) & Chief Flying Horse

I soon intend to publish my family tree which proves my lineal descendancy publicly but am waiting to do so until it is copyrighted.
