The Centre for Information and Guidance India (CIGI) is a voluntary non-profit organization that works all days to support students and youngsters in their career planning and skill development. It also focuses on quality improvement of teachers / parents.

CIGI is the outcome of a series of discussions among like-minded educationalists, intellectuals and social leaders in and outside the State of Kerala. It is unique for its grassroots network with integrated follow-ups. Its gallery of talents under the leadership of Dr. K.M. Abubacker (Retd. Senior Scientist, BARC & former Secretary of Atomic Energy Education Society) include eminent scientists / technocrats / educationalists like Dr. P.K Iyengar, Mr Sayid Hamid IAS(Retd), Dr. N Babu (former VC Kerala University), Dr. N A Karim (former V C Kerala University) and leading sociologists.

The organization has a Faculty of Research & Analysis with a group of Core Resource Persons, Senior Resource Persons & Primary Resource persons, working voluntarily all over the State, and regional network throughout the State and the Middle East. CIGI has a proud track record of serving over a million beneficiaries annually through its zonal offices and teamwork of resource persons and voluntary organizations. OBJECTIVES

An organization aiming at shifting from mere education to purposeful training; from mediocrity to excellence - a concerted pursuit to develop competence. The primary objectives of CIGI are: 


* Help young generations build the right future in career
* • Make marginalized classes particularly backward minorities & communities active in the
* process of nation building by regionalizing and popularizing career guidance services at
* grass root level, especially in rural areas.
* • Develop tools and human software for individual excellence of target group.
* • Support and supplement governmental schemes and programmes for the empowerment of
* weaker sections through training, awareness creation and facilities in education and employment
* motivation for civil service etc.
* • Strive to realize the nation’s declared objective of balanced growth.
* • Equip parents and teachers to effectively guide and bring up children
