Hailing from Atlanta, the 1984 version comprised Linda Vaughn, vocals and keyboards, Kay Busby, guitar, Joan Shaffner, drums, Margie Deeb vocals and Brian Reid, bass and vocals. By 1985, were a mainstay in and around Atlanta playing at the iconic 688 Club and Little 5 Points. http://dictionnaire.sensagent.leparisien.fr/688+club/en-en/ They recorded at Atlanta Rhythm Section’s old Doraville studio for a “best of Atlanta” album titled “Off the Tracks” opening the album with the Busby penned ‘As the Dinosaur Turns”. Later that year saw them back in the studio, this time at Mitch Easter’s (Lets Active) studio in Winston-Salem with Mitch producing two tracks; Faster and Faster by Busby and Reid and Water Stories by Busby. Around this time they had an honorable mention in Musician magazine as one of America’s best unsigned bands.
