Don Blaheta (aka blahedo) is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia (formerly at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois). His area of specialty is Natural Language Processing/Computational Linguistics; he also knows various things about various other areas both of CS and of Linguistics.
Outside the ivory tower, he also knows quite a bit about knitting and ballroom dancing, and has interests in music, the Roman Catholic Church, and progressive politics.
Coming of age
blahedo made his 1,000th Wikipedia edit shortly after midnight CDT on 10 May 2006. As of that time, he had edited 553 distinct pages, for an average of 1.8 edits per page; 742 of the edits were in the article namespace, in addition to 30 User edits, 43 images, 20 templates, 15 project edits, 6 categories, and the remainder on various talk pages. He had been editing for almost exactly 17 months.
Current projects
Not doing a whole lot lately, but joined Textile Arts, so we'll see how that goes.
