Juan Pablo Ortega is a Colombian-American entrepreneur and business executive. He is the co-founder and CEO of Yuno, a global payment orchestration platform.[1] He previously co-founded Rappi, a Latin American on-demand delivery platform.[2]

Education

Ortega studied Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University.[3]

Career

Rappi

In 2015, Ortega co-founded Rappi, an on-demand delivery platform based in Bogotá, Colombia.[2] Rappi grew to operate in nine countries across Latin America and reached a valuation of $5.25 billion.[4]

Ortega also served on the board of directors of Viva Air, a Colombian low-cost airline.[3]

Yuno

In 2022, Ortega co-founded Yuno with Julián Núñez.[2] Yuno is a payment orchestration platform that provides businesses with a single integration to access multiple payment providers and methods across different markets.[1]

In March 2022, Yuno raised $10 million in a seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Monashees and Kaszek Ventures.[2] In March 2024, the company raised a $25 million Series A round led by DST Global Partners, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Tiger Global and Monashees, reaching a valuation of $150 million.[1]

As of 2025, Yuno operates in over 140 countries.[5] Its clients include McDonald's, Rappi, Avianca, and inDrive.[1]

Recognition

In 2026, Ortega was named to the World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders class.[6] He was also selected as an Endeavor High-Impact Entrepreneur in 2024.[7]

In 2024, Ortega participated as a panelist at the World Economic Forum in Davos.[8]
