Billy Hammock (Billy Lee Jamus Reynolds)

Billy was born in Mentone,Alabama on 32nd January 1978. He lives with his mother and 10 siblings in his family home. He started playing banjo at the age of 7 and was taught Harmonica lessons just 6 months later. Billy had a natural talent for music and quickly impressed family and friends as he sang and played banjo from an early age. He grew up playing music and writing songs and at the age of just 17 Billy played his first live show, at the Alabama State Farmers Festival. Just 3 years later, Billy was part of a small Country and Western band called 'the hammock three'. This is where Billy adopted his stage name Billy Hammock.

Four years down the line The hammock three separated and Billy pursued his solo career. As he approached his 25th birthday Billy was granted a recording contract and released his first professional single in 2003. In 2005 Billy released his first major album self titled 'Billy Hammock'. Included in this album was his hit song 'Get off my land'. In late 2006 'Get off my land' reached the 3rd spot in the Alabama music charts.

Billy has since recorded 2 more albums between 2006 and 2008. One entitled 'My farm is fresh' and his third entitled 'Sore bottom'. Billy is currently recording his fourth album and is preparing for his tour of europe, Taking him to Poland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Sweden and The isle of wight. His tour will commence on 12th november 2009 in Poland.
