Koso Kent Introl Limited (KKI)

Koso Kent Introl Limited (KKI) is a specialist design and manufacturing company, producing surface and subsea control valves for severe service applications[1].

Based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, UK, KKI valves, actuators and instruments are used across a wide range of global applications, including in the oil and gas, petrochemical, power and utilities industries. KKI products are used in almost every major oil and gas producing region around the world.

History

The company was originally formed in 1967 under the name Introl Ltd, by Edward Singleton[2], with the intention of offering improved designs for conventional control valves that would incorporate bespoke features to meet the needs of customers. Previous owners have included George Kent Group (1971 – 1974, when the company traded as Kent Introl Ltd); Brown Boveri of Switzerland (1975 – 1985, when the company traded as BBC Kent Process Control Ltd, Introl Control Valves); ABB (1985 – 2000); Vetco Gray UK Ltd, an ABB Group company (2000 – 2005, when the company traded as Kent Introl, a Division of Vetco Gray UK Ltd.).
