N. N . Baiju (Nalukalil Natarajan Baiju), the son of Natarajan and Thankamma was born on 2nd February 1974 in Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha District. His First short story ‘Avar kaathirikkukayanu’ published in 1994. Many short stories and poetries has been published in various periodicals.
In 2002, His first book containing two plays (‘Mizhikal uyarthathavar’ and ‘Samaanthara Paathaakakal’) was published. Directed several short films, including the short film 'The Outsider', which was shortlisted for the New York Short Film Festival in 2002.
Several documentaries have been directed for the Culture Department including ‘Kunchan Nambiar’, ‘Thakazhi Sivasankara piḷḷa – malayaḷathinte itihasam’,’P N Paṇikkar - vaayanayude gurunathan’, ‘Karumaadikkuṭṭan -oru buddha prathima’.
His Docufiction movies include Thakazhi's 'Katha', M.Mukundan's ‘mayyazhi puzhayude theerangal’‘ N Sreekantan Nair's 'Ente Amma' and 'Puzhayadayalangal'. Films include 'Maadayippara', 'Snehaveerathee Akshara Pookkal', 'Nanditha' and 'Kochiyude thaarangal’.
In 1994, he won the Fekana Award and the Kairali Atlas Jewelery Award for his plays ‘mizhikaḷ uyarthaathavar’ and ‘samaanthara paathakakaḷ’
