Introduction

Hello, My name is Hajra. I work full-time for the Canadian Forces as a Marketing Assistant, while working towards completing my undergraduate degree in Marketing.

Personal Life

I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and grew up in Saudi Arabia, with my parents, an older sister and a younger brother. My father worked as a Chief Technologist in the Radiology Department at the King Fahd University Hospital and my mom was a housewife.

I recently got engaged and have been enjoying my "engaged life".

Education and Academic Career

High School

I completed my high school from Saudi Arabia and graduated with many awards for excellent performance through out my courses. I then moved back to Canada, in Ottawa for further education.

University

I got admitted at the University of Ottawa with two scholarships. I started with a Bachelors of Computer Science, Information Systems and Management but soon after I realized my true interest was in the business field and transferred over to Bachelors of Commerce, Honors in Marketing.

Work Experience

After relocating to Canada, I also started working to financially sustain myself and was employed at the following retail outlets:

  • Fairweather
  • Jacob Connexion
  • Guess Clothing
  • Aldo

After several years of retail work, I was able to secure a position for myself in my field of interest (Marketing) with the Government of Canada, serving to the Canadian Forces and have been working there for the past four years. Within the university years, I also worked with one of my professor and helped first year students understand various concepts of Financial and Managerial Accounting.

Hobbies

Travelling.

I have quite a few hobbies that keep me entertained when I have some spare time from work and school.

Performing Arts

I really enjoy dancing and playing the violin.

I love to travel and have been all across the globe. My most recent trip was in November 2010 when I spent two months travelling ...

I like to spend time in different cities in order to absorb the culture and the different cuisine, as I also love eating out.
