This is where I store all the awards that I should happen accrue. If you want to know how I got them, it's basically just doing a good job or more than a good job on stuff. Then, another user who recognizes that work will award to me. There are no guidelines on who that other user has to be. You could award anyone anything right now, whether you're a newcomer or experienced user. Likewise, if I see you did a good job on something, I'll award you!
