Austin Wayne Truax Bader Singer/Songwriter
I started Silvertip® in Montana, USA as a cover band playing private parties and special events. About a year after I had formed the band a friend of mine said he had written a song for me, and asked if I could put it to music. I agreed, and the song had some success. This got me to thinking that I should write my own songs. So I struck out on a new adventure in music, songwriting.
An invitation to play at a small music festival got me started playing my own songs. Because of this I was invited to play at bigger and bigger festivals, fundraisers, parties, etc.
Through these festivals I have met many great musicians and songwriters. The greatest of these, my friend and mentor Charley Groth, who took me under his wing and taught me the right way to play guitar and write songs.
I move to Florida where I have had the privilege of learning the ins and outs of the music world.
Throughout all of this I have had many requests to release an album of my own original compositions. I am currently working on this, and expect it to be finished soon. The name of my first album is "Where I'm Going" and my promotional single "Spanish Rose".
