User:Andrew Shire

Andrew Shire grew up in a small mining town called Barnsley, South Yorkshire. He began acting at the age of 21 when attending college under the guidance of Kay Redfern. It was here that he developed his love for theatre and was encouraged by his tutors to attend drama school.

He was trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama on the 3 years acting course and graduated in 2006. Since this time he formed the production company “Three Tears Films' where he has written, directed and starred in his own material. In 2008 the company "Three Tears Films" made way for "Tear Away Pictures", a solo project allowing Andrew to dedicate more time to his own productions. Going solo meant that Andrew could spend more time writing characters that suited his styles, skills and techniques as an actor.

2009 began very promisingly as he was one of 3 leading actors in a low budget feature film entitled “Egression” by Imaginary Films http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1400502/. The shoot lasted the months of February and March and since completion he has been cast in 4 other features, 50 short films and 2 TV pilots.
