Professional Career

Alex Funicello decided he wanted to be a doctor at a young age. And after someone close to him had passed away due to lung cancer, he decided he would dedicate the rest of his life to helping others beat the lung and respiratory ailments that challenge their lifestyles. He was a straight shooter in high school and through the earning of his undergrad degree. This helped earn him the grades to get into the Baylor School of Medicine, where he not only attained his doctoral degree but also met the love of his life. From there, he worked in a number of residencies and internships before getting into hospital work and eventually opening his own practice.

Personal Life

Alex Funicello lives in Fresno, California with his wife and their golden retriever, Ruby. They love to travel and engage in outdoorsy activities on the weekends. In the summertime, they will often travel to the coast or a lake area to do some windsurfing. In the spring and fall time, they like to play golf at their local country clubs, one of which Alex has a personal trainer at. But the wintertime is the most exciting time of the year for the couple, as they are both avid skiers who like to get out and enjoy all that their home state of California has to offer.
