Template:R from numeronym
When used inside the {{Redirect category shell}} template:
This page is a redirect. The following categories are used to track and monitor this redirect:
|
When used by itself:
- From a numeronym: This is a redirect from a numeronym to a related topic, such as the expansion of the numeronym.
- Remember that a numeronym is a special type of acronym containing numbers that can be spoken as a word.
- Use {{R from acronym}} for abbreviations that do not contain numbers.
| Any breaking changes to this template, including moving it or nominating it for deletion, must be communicated in advance to Twinkle's users and maintainers at Wikipedia talk:Twinkle. The standard installation of Twinkle relies on this template. Thank you. |
| This template should not be substituted nor used to tag soft redirects. |
Usage
- This redirect category (rcat) template populates Category:Redirects from numeronyms. Add this rcat to a redirect page, not a talk page, in the following manner:
#REDIRECT [[(target article title)]]
{{Rcat shell|
{{R from numeronym}}
}}
- Template {{Rcat shell}} is an alias for the Redirect category shell template, which may be used to add as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation on its template page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:
#REDIRECT [[(target article title)]]
{{R from numeronym}}
- This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.
- Use this rcat on all redirects from numeronyms to their expanded forms. Please do not use this template for initialisms that are not also numeronyms. Instead, use the {{R from initialism}} rcat. Also, if the redirect is from the initials of a personal name, then use {{R from short name}} instead.

Printworthiness
| Please do not alter the printworthy settings of this rcat without first notifying the Version 1.0 Editorial Team, who are responsible for any and all materials, including redirects, that go into a printed version of Wikipedia. |
- In main-article namespace, numeronyms are typically found unprintworthy. In 2003, efforts were begun to support the Wikimedia Foundation's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in printed versions. Like this one, some rcats automatically populate either Category:Printworthy redirects or Category:Unprintworthy redirects by default.
- Either {{Redirect category shell}} or its alias/shortcut, {{Rcat shell}}, may be used.
