- Improve 1,097 articles sourced only to NRIS by adding inline citations and additional information from reliable sources
- Expand the shortest stubs within the project's scope
- Run peer reviews/collaborations to improve higher importance NRHP articles to good or featured status
- Create new articles and develop existing ones in states where all NRHP nomination forms are available online
- Create requested articles
- Add Category:National Historic Landmark Districts to all appropriate articles or redirects (has been done only for Colorado as of 10/2022)
- Images
- Help add NRIS reference numbers to images and categories on Commons without one
- Place uploaded, unused images into county lists and articles
- Add links to categories on Commons where they are missing from lists
- Upload new photos to Commons and include on NRHP lists and articles
- Populate commons categories that have small amounts of images.
- Find and add HABS, Flickr, or other images where allowable
- Maintenance
- Assess 121 article(s) having no importance rating assigned
- Add an infobox to 1 article(s) without one
- Fix 113 infobox(es) needing cleanup
- Remove unknown parameters from 56 infoboxes including them.
- Cleanup these articles tagged as needing cleanup
- Pay attention to 4 article(s) tagged and these listed as needing attention
- Address a state's NRIS info issues with National Register staff and state historic preservation offices
- Monitor pages with title disagreement (Hyphen vs. dash, etc.) and fix connections
- Improve NRHP tools and help pages
