Template:Cleanup split

Usage
Place this at the top of a section that has grown too large and has been split but not yet summarized. It can also be placed at the top of a new article that is the result of a split, if the article still needs post-split cleanup such as a proper lead section, link and citation repair, etc.
For example, {{Cleanup split|Megabat}} produces:

Parameters
The 1st through 20th unnamed parameters are article names for split to/from targets.
|section= with any value (such as y or true) changes the text "article or section" to just "section".
|dir=from changes the text "from/to" to just "from".
|dir=to changes the text "from/to" to just "to".
|date={{subst:DATE}} or |date=June 2026 stamps the template with the month and year it was placed in the article.
Typical use cases
For section that has been split out into new article and in the original article needs to be summarized:

For top of newly split article that needs post-split improvement:
{{Cleanup split|dir=from|Bat}}
