This editnotice is shown automatically (via Module:Mainspace editnotice) when editing a page categorized as either Category:Living people or Category:Possibly living people.
This editnotice can also be added manually, for instance to articles about events involving living people. If adding the template manually to an article on a disappearance or death, the parameter |BDP=yes (or any other {{yesno}}-supported "yes" value) can be passed for an alternate wording that emphasizes that section.
