Needs some serious work. Let's consider (at least length wise) child development and this page
This article combines two different topics
As I just added, 'youth development' is almost always used to talk about interventions to promote 'positive youth development'. Child development, adolescent development, or early adult development are different topics. There are other posts on this topic, and we are currently adding a long piece on 'adolescent development' that will disambiguate from this one.
The last section of the article refers to things normally discussed under 'youth development'. The current article is misleading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nancydarling (talk • contribs) 16:11, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
A previous editor noted that this might be combined with 'child development'. This would be inappropriate (see new intro to the piece). We will be adding a new long post on 'adolescent development' which is currently (inappropriately) directed here.
The current entry could usefully be merged with the piece on 'positive youth development' with a redirect to that page.
If anyone else thinks that's appropriate, I could do that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nxd10 (talk • contribs) 01:58, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
