Talk:Torture flights

This article is extremely informally written to the point that to me it reads like a letter to the editor. The language "if they are lucky" and "...if they are unlucky" should be changed. There are a number of copy edit fixes needed, including the misspelling of rendition. This is sub-par writing.

There is no provable basis, even though I personally agree with the statement, for "These people are being “disappeared” by Western democracies such as the United States and United Kingdom to avoid due process and regulations against torture." The blanket statements, unprovable claims, and general style of the article make it seem to me to be highly POV and biased against the U.S. administration. The article also shows the inherent bias in Wikipedia by referring to the U.S. as America, discounting Canada, Mexico, and all the other countries of the Americas. I agree that there should be an article on extraordinary rendition, but this is not it. I would support a merge of the actual facts that are here to that article.--WAvegetarian 07:13, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
