Talk:Three coin
| This article was nominated for deletion on 22 May 2007. The result of the discussion was keep. |
I've reverted the redirect. The decision was "keep". There's good reason for that. "Spoof" is about a game that people play; this is more about a mathematical thought-experiment. Michael Hardy 21:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, I disagree with this as part of the talk in the deletion discussion was to merge it with the article Spoof (game). I've essentially copied the text from this article into Spoof, with some editing there. Compare the two articles and you can see that they are now essentially the same (with an additional reference added there to the name "Spoof"). I see no reason to maintain two articles that are almost identical now. Craw-daddy 21:23, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
P.S. And not that I always value the use of Google hits to decide something, but the game seems to be widely know as "Spoof" as Google returns several pages under that search term, but essentially none under the name "Three Coin". The scholarly paper never uses the title "Three Coin" either, just referring to general n-coin games. So I think that the rediret should be reinstated. Craw-daddy 21:32, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
