Thomas Tom or Tommy
I was looking for a Thomas Lewis. but couldn't find him on the disambiguation page - it turns out he was more commonly known as Tom. I changed the page so that a reader can see at a glance the small list of people, but apparently Jerodlycett thinks it is "fine" that a reader go to 3 different pages trying to find the person they are looking for. Tom is most commonly a contraction of Thomas and people such as Tom Lewis (Australian politician) are properly placed in this disambiguation page. --Find bruce (talk) 21:44, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, I did revert your attempted merge of the three pages back to what is established consensus for how disambiguation pages of names are done. Jerod Lycett (talk) 18:11, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
- Would you care to provide a link to the "established consensus" to the effect that a person called Thomas Lewis should not appear on the Thomas Lewis disambiguation page because they were more commonly called Tom ? --Find bruce (talk) 11:20, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
- Here's just two of the examples: Thomas Smith#See also Thomas Jones#See also. Jerod Lycett (talk) 17:47, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
