– A recent series of moves to satisfy a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests to strip the company names from ThinkPad articles was performed on some articles, but not all, leaving a jumbled mess at Category:ThinkPad. I think some consistency is in order. Either the rest of the articles should be moved to strip IBM/Lenovo from their titles, or the aforementioned RM should be reversed. I think the abridged names are more elegant, and I don't think there's any overlap in model names between IBM ThinkPads and Lenovo ThinkPads, but I don't have a strong preference either way, as long as they're consistently named. Looks good to me. the nice thing is that we can also remove 'IBM' from the bold title in the article and then we can wikilink it without stating the name twice. PhotographyEdits (talk) 15:20, 9 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
