Revolutionary Commando ArmySyrian Free Army – The name of the group has changed. See [1] David O. Johnson (talk) 22:26, 19 December 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Frost 08:27, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment That link does not look like a WP:RS. Per the Telegraph, this group is still being referred to by this name. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/12/18/us-prepared-syrian-rebel-group-to-help-topple-bashar-assad/ Sleath56 (talk) 01:09, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment I found a source (Middle East Monitor) that's listed as No consensus [2] that lists the group as "Syrian Free Army" here: [3]. David O. Johnson (talk) 22:23, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support RCA seems no longer common. Syrian Free Army doesn't seem very common either only because the rebel group in general isn't discussed that much in detail by RS. RopeTricks (talk) 01:29, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support SFA is both the official name of the group and the name it held at the time of its most relevant operations. It did very little as RCA, so the majority of sources discuss it as SFA more than RCA/MaT. 2601:154:C380:1140:3C2B:ADB2:2B84:19C1 (talk) 17:59, 25 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

US allocated the Syrian Free Army’s Budget for 2026

The US has allocated the Syrian Free Army’s budget 2026 in July 2025, so there is no way they disbanded in May of 2025. Trueverdicts (talk) 23:26, 12 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That's utter nonsense. The references clearly state that this unit was incorporated into the 70th Division of the Ministry of Defense in June, and later transferred to the Desert Security Forces under the Ministry of Interior. Furthermore, the commander was changed. There is absolutely no source to suggest that this unit still exists; do not distort the truth based on your subjective opinions. Groups can exist under a wider branch, take for example PMF in Iraq is under the Iraqi army, it’s known the US groups in Syria, SDF and SFA haven’t disbanded just yet. Trueverdicts (talk) 21:44, 13 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The sources clearly dated to July, of this year, which say their budget for 2026 refute your claim, the truth is the truth even if your feelings don’t like it. Trueverdicts (talk) 21:48, 13 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
