"and, therefore, birds"

Why is therefore here? Are birds reptiles? 2607:FEA8:FF01:4FA6:EC5A:5C6F:3CBE:E5B (talk) 20:51, 20 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Arguably, yes, but that's a separate debate. What the sentence is saying is that any valid taxonomic group that includes all of the reptiles would also, necessarily, include birds. See the first sentence of the Sauropsida article, which is linked to in the phrase in question. Anaxial (talk) 21:39, 20 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

should there be a picture of a tiger?

I don't know anything about this, but it doesn't seem like the Tiger should be an example of one of them. Maybe someone should remove it? 173.61.198.228 (talk) 16:07, 1 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Why not? Tigers are mammals, and mammals are synapsids. Honeymilktea (talk) 00:29, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Lead section final paragraph

The final paragraph in the lead section is quite lengthy and difficult to read since it is dense with information. However, some of that information doesn't even show up in the body of this article. I've been considering shortening the lead section to better match the article and make it more readable. Honeymilktea (talk) 00:33, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
