I'm tempted to add poor counselor/adviser advice under the poor choice of classes section, but I have no citation save seeing my friends get screwed over back in the day. That said, this article doesn't have many citations at all. I also have a moral dilemma about putting up that bit, because most advisers do know what they're doing and I don't want to scare current students into poor choices. 49giantsharks (talk) 18:51, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have added Subsections on 5 Year Programs and Community College Transfers under Causes since it dosen't seem that anyone has addressed them yet.

Also if someone takes a Year off from school but is only in their 4th Year of actual schooling then they are generally not considered "Super Seniors"- even if they may be 5 or more years out of High School (that is sometimes true with Co-Ops as well)- I'm thinking maybe that should be addressed. Usually "Super Senior" status doesn't kick in until some is in their 9th Semester (if it is a 2 semester per year college otherwise adjust accordingly) of taking classes or later—Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.98.40.217 (talk) 23:13, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In schools where 5 years is the norm, due to either a five-year program or a co-op program, the term super-senior is not used, at least not until the 6th year. Instead such schools will have an additional named year. For example, at Northeastern University, the normal term is 5 years, and the third year is called "Middler" year.
