I added the NEC PC-9801 platform. You can see a picture of this version here: [1] OmerMor 14:23, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spacequest.net not reliable source

Per WP:RS as well as Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Sources#Fansites, self-published sites like Spacequest.net are not reliable sources per Wikipedia guidelines and cannot be used to cite information. That said, the passage it is being used to allegedly verify is amazingly trivial: "Also a couple of scenaries have been modified." The fact that the removal of this is being contested kind of amazes me. Feel free to counter me based on policy. Thanks! SchuminWeb (Talk) 18:39, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Let us talk about this with a bit more reason. You have several times removed valid information true to the last detail and have not in the slightest bit investigated it. In removing the graphic difference between the floppy and CD versions, you are erasing an actual fact which can plainly be seen, within the games themselves. Besides, the other pieces of information have no proof to back them up being technical differences with the graphical difference excluded. If my information is trivia, so is the 'rest of the information'. Therefore I cannot understand your strange sense of judgement. You immediately dismiss a website for a reference, but have you fully explored it yet? "Fully satisfying policy concerns" I think you said, explain further and split hairs before you make such a statement. If you think you can do better, you take the liberty to find the reference to the information and next time, look into the information before you constantly throw it aside. I do not like denial of existent facts. Deltasim (talk) 20:00, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I have been through that whole site as a fellow Space Quest enthusiast.  :-)
However, that doesn't make up for its being insufficiently reliable for our purposes. Regarding the rest of the information in that paragraph, yes, it should probably get zapped as well, for the same reason. There might be some reliable sources for this information, but it will require a bit more research. I'm thinking that reviews made when the game was new and such might cover this. No one said writing an encyclopedia was easy, after all... SchuminWeb (Talk) 20:21, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well since you put it that way, I think I'm done with this article. Good luck with the research and happy editing. Deltasim (talk) 20:26, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress
