I will review this for WP:GARC. 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 (My "blotter") 01:39, 23 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

  • March 10 and May 28 are only mentioned in the lead without a source; per WP:LEADCITE and the regular guidelines that means they are technically without citation.
  • followed Enwezor's earlier project In/Sight (1996) this mention should not be in the lead as this is not substantial enough to be there.
  • from Africa and the diaspora who/what is "the diaspora"?

Background

  • as the Guggenheim's 1996 survey what is this? most readers won't know what this is.
    • This was pretty clear though since I've mentioned the Museum exhibiting In/Sight above, but I just replaced with In/Sight. -VWF
  • and representations of the body what body? a regular body or a different body? If it is regular, please change "the" to "a"
    • "representations of the body" here means the artistic and political ways in which African photographers depict human bodies, not one particular body, rather the body as a subject and symbol in their work. -VWF
  • The last paragraph of Background (excluding the first sentence) feels more suited in the Exhibition section.
    • Did some copyedits. -VWF

Exhibition

  • It comprised "over 180 objects" why do you need to put it in quotes? (I can't access the source)
  • the role of the archive this seems pretty weird. It would be better to reword this to "the role of archives" as there is more than one international archives.
  • the body and identity would be better if you omit "the" IMO
  • I keep noticing quotes without attribution. Was the author of the quotes blanked? I really think you should add the author of the quotes.
  • Erin Haney and Erika Nimis, art historians and curators specialising in the history of African photography... should this be in the reception section?

Reception

  • Who is "Elizabeth Harney"? I think you need to add after her name "writing for the Nka: Journal of Contemporary African Art"
  • was described add "by Harney" preceding this
  • Just a suggestion, but these one-sentence paragraphs are annoying (for me). There is no reason to not merge them
  • Before "Haney and Nimis" add African Arts'

Catalogue

  • You can probably merge this section with Exhibition (unless you can find an archive of the catalogue or a reviewer describing it about what it talked about)

Legacy

Nothing wrong here.
