Something about the software?

I'm missing some neutral(!) info about the Shopify software here like: Basic features, structure, which parts are in control of shop-owners and which are not. Shopify seems to be some kind of subscription model only? It would be nice if someone could enhance the article in this context. Not just business numbers – I mean this is an encyclopedia, not a business portfolio ;) --Eliza Winterborn (talk) 14:44, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Credibility issues

The article sounds almost like an advertisement and is written mostly by a single source, Allsop8184. I believe it needs copy editing for tone as well as some research for possible criticism about the company. Nxavar (talk) 09:41, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article appears to be publicity and advertising as the author Allsop8184 shares the same Twitter id as Mark Hayes, Marketing and Public Relations at Shopify - https://twitter.com/allsop8184 Esboy72 (talk) 07:12, 9 July 2013 (UTC) Site should be deleted, and rewrite. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.175.215.174 (talk) 20:37, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I hjoab agree on the advertising stuff, BUT... for many ones wikipedia is the 1st source of knowledge and it's better to have some biased article that none. Yes, it could be re-written latter. — Preceding undated comment added 02:03, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

I rewrote and reworked large parts of this article while an employee of Shopify. In the interest of preserving the integrity of this encyclopedia I am declaring this conflict of interest. However, I made the edits in good faith and I believe that after my edits the article seems significantly less like an advertisement and better conforms to Wikipedia's standards. I have left the disputed neutrality tag on the article and I will let a fully neutral third party be the judge there. If anyone has objections to my edit or my conflict of interest, they are free to make appropriate revisions to the page. Richard Yetalk 19:55, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am not an affiliate with Shopify. Based on the many objective references, I vote that this is not an advertisement, but is a neutral article. It was very helpful to me today when I found it. Loveonearth (talk) 18:23, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
i reviewed this and removed some puffery and fixed some refs. it is OK. Jytdog (talk) 21:50, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

COI part 3

Somebody using changing IP addresses keeps trying to change the web address to promotions offered by Shopify. I have tagged this for COI as long as that is going on. Jytdog (talk) 12:30, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Shop for tracking delivery

Some vendors that are not Shopify have told me to use Shop app for tracking. This is not mentioned in the article, an aspect different from purchasing through Shopify. I would appreciate description of that aspect.- - Prairieplant (talk) 19:54, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deplatform pro life store

Catholic online was deplatformed by Shopify for its pro life views. This could go under its criticism section. 23.169.8.1 (talk) 10:58, 17 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

“Stylized”?

What importance is the information about how it’s “stylized”? Obviously unless someone is visually impaired they can easily see how it is stylized. It’s not just this article it’s a good amount of them with that “stylized” unnecessary piece of information. It’s horribly irritating tbh. I needed to get this off my chest so here it is. -MatthewS.
