The Second Great Depression → Second Great Depression – Definite article unnecessary. jareha (comments) 21:34, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

- @Jareha and MarkZusab: queried move request Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:47, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
- I'm contesting this request because all entries on the disambiguation that are exact matches are titled "The Second Great Depression". Nothing on that page is just called "Second Great Depression". Also see The Great Depression (disambiguation). However, I do think that creating a redirect from Second Great Depression to The Second Great Depression would be a good idea. - Add the suffix “(disambiguation)”. It is unfriendly to readers to have this title, looking like an article that one should know about, but not. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:07, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
- Per WP:DABNAME, that should not be done. MarkZusab (talk) 22:13, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
- Repudiate DABNAME as a pretty stupid old convention, never justified, that continues only as an unquestioned convention. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:16, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
- Your opinion only. The convention is fine by me and doubtless many others. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:38, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

- Per WP:DABNAME, that should not be done. MarkZusab (talk) 22:13, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Absolutely no need for the definite article. Wouldn't be capitalised in running text. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:38, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

Second Great Depression is coming. Should be a whole page, not a disambiguation
There could be a second Great Depression in the 2030s. Capital misallocation is growing globally, coupled with faltering demographics. The world's growth engine is slowing down while the economic bubble keeps growing. Several economists predict a second Great Depression in the 2030s. Yes, much worse than the 2020-2023 period (or 2008). FeldmarschallGneisenau (talk) 04:35, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- A standalone article likely fails WP:N and risks WP:CRYSTAL. Accordingly, per WP:DAB, this should remain a disambiguation entry until substantial, independent coverage emerges. Marissa TRS (talk) 00:47, 4 October 2025 (UTC)
