To editor Explicit: Hello, can you please restore File:RedHat.svg? as you have deleted it on 10 May 2019. I want it for this change, since it was for a long-time (20+ yrs) the company's logo, OR, can you please change File:RedHatLinuxLogoOld.png in a manner that can be used for this article too? @FMM-1992: Hi, please see WP:NFC#CS and WP:NFC#cite_note-4: "To identify a subject of discussion, depiction of a prominent aspect of the subject generally suffices, [...] only a single item of non-free content meets the [contextual significance] criterion." + "The use of historical logos for an entity is not allowed, unless the historical logo itself is described in the context of critical commentary about that historical logo." Policy genreally does not allow the use of former logos unless the former logo iteslf is subject to sourced critical commentary. ✗plicit 11:47, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
@Explicit: Thanks for these notes. How about adding a paragraph or section about their logo-(changing) and adding the old logo? since not only it was for a long-time (20+ yrs) the company's logo, it still can be seen in their headquarters images, see the images at Red_Hat#History. -- FMM-1992 (talk) 08:48, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
