Talk:Radix point

Untitled

This definition of radix point is not entirely correct. The number 1. has integer part 2 and fractional part 0, while the radix point separates two parts that each have value 1. Leen Droogendijk (talk) 12:00, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Resistor values

Is is worth mentioning that engineering sometimes uses letters as a radix point, to make it easier to read on small components? For example, 2R2 on a resistor would mean 2.2 ohms, and 4K7 would mean 4.7 kiloohms. See text at

Can you use a radix point every 3 instead of 4 digits? (13.625 = 1,101.101 instead of 1101.101) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.140.102.94 (talk) 18:21, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
